Disciple-Makers Weekend
A transformative weekend retreat at Big Canoe, where we will unite as followers of Jesus to craft a bold, Spirit-led strategy for making disciples in our communities and beyond. Inspired by the principles of Disciple Making Movements (DMM) and the practical tools of Planting the Gospel, we aim to help extraordinary people become extraordinary disciple makers.
VISION
Our vision is to see gospel saturation in every relational network, with a disciple maker on every street, and spiritual families in every relational network.
WHEN & WHERE
DATE: Friday, Sept. 5 & Saturday Sept. 6, 2025
TIME: Starts Friday at 6 PM, ends Saturday at 3 PM
COST: $25 (includes meals, materials, and lodging)

WHAT
A focused weekend retreat hosted by Planting the Gospel to pray, collaborate, and develop practical strategies for fulfilling the Great Commission.
Guided by our five Disciple Making Principles:
1. Simple enough to reproduce
2. The Holy Spirit is our teacher
3. Scripture is our curriculum
4. Following Jesus is our objective
5. Relationships are the vehicle
You’ll learn practical tools to live sent, applying what you learn by:
WHO
A select group of men with a heart to obey Jesus and engage in relational disciple making, joined in a brotherhood to pursue this mission together.
WHY
Many church models in America focus on attendance over multiplication, which leaves people far from God unreached. This weekend is for those ready to break that mold and join a spirit-led movement that results in Gospel Saturation in our relational networks fueled by:

- Praying for the lost and least in your relational spaces.
- Inviting someone to discover Jesus with you.
- Practicing disciple-making tools as you sow the Gospel into new relationships.

- Discuss and implement simple strategies that have been characteristic of Disciple Making Movements around the world.
- Share what’s working and where we fell stuck
- Encourage, challenge, and pray for one another
- Leave with a clear vision and next steps for multiplying disciples of Jesus
HOW TO LIVE IT OUT
You’ll leave the weekend equipped and supported to:
- Address the gap in reaching those far from God by developing reproducible, scalable strategies.
- Plant the Gospel in relational spaces
- Pray consistently for people far from God
- Implement and practice disciple-making tools as you go
- Multiply disciples and spiritual families where you live, work, learn, and play
